kairos.
it’s what i’ve considering naming any future son. my daughter will be seraphina thanks to brian jacques.
kairos is the gap in the armor, the shuttle in the loom, the kink in the knot, the separation in the closing.
it sounds like a christian name but i think thats more for the early christians being caught in the greeks way like the rest of us.
r scott bakker calls similar the gobozkoy, The Moment.
kairos is the feeling that gets you to shift as an extreme of the path comes.
if you take it poetically, take it literally.
comedic timing is all about the gaps. and to be a great comedian you must be the god of the gaps. people can take an incredible amount (as in i don’t credit it) if one can make them laugh. and by one i mean me.
the greeks had chronos and kairos. only chronos is known now. we just call it time. kairos is its qualitative aspect, its subjective quality.
Kairos has a sort of feminine harmony to it that i have not grasped yet.
A decision, a breaking off. Internally, deciding really does feel like you’ve broken off something.
From my notes.
