kairos.
it’s what i’ve considering naming any future son.
kairos is the gap in the armor, the shuttle in the loom, the kink in the knot, the separation in the closing.
it sounds like a christian name but i think thats more for the early christians being caught in the greeks way like the rest of us.
r scott bakker calls similar, the gobozkoy, The Moment.
kairos is the feeling that gets you to swerve the car as the tree is coming, to tell your girlfriend you never loved her, to shift as an extreme of the path comes.
if you take it poetically, take it literally.
comedic timing is all about.
A decision, a breaking off. Internally, deciding really does feel like you’ve broken off something.
I understand a bit better now. Refused to drink the wine so I don’t go to the hospital in this internal bargaining.
Se is present. My tense changes.
‘damn i suck at planning’ ← Se for me.
people use words consistently. really. watch them. this requires a LOT of watching, but if you found this blog, you can do it.
a basic unseen duality in words is mechanistic vs teleological. Forward and Backward in my head.
People (usually Perceiving personalities) consistently use words like ‘interesting’ even when ‘good’ would be more appropriate. Judgers go the other way, but there’s an asymmetry in my experience like in the Two Cultures of STEM where Perceivers can correctly use them but Judgers are not as good.
interesting corresponds to Misha Gromov’s ergo-brain. useful is about action space size. value is subjective and maybe intersubjective. a shovel is useful but maybe not valuable.
The model is smart enough to figure out types inside of its late stream, so it may as well reify them and get the benefit. todo mech interp experiment to determine how models understand types.
head feels full. pain in center of face but i don’t think behind the eyes. both eyes have double vision.
vision changes, occasional blurring, although for now it’s pretty rare like a couple of times in a day. stiff neck, less stiff now. dizzy when moving head, more easily disoriented. electric sensation when bending neck down. now not electric but some “awareness” of it still. more light sensitivity. floaters, seem to be in right eye mostly.
just give them Se symptoms and let them make their own conclusion to get MRI and maybe spinal plug, ugh.
Lhermitte syndrome. papilledema?
hypothesis: yes.
how to test it? what is science? how can you know? i was confused about what science was bc it was given to me mechanistically.
Ni→Ne: this is a simple concept i can explain to people. that was NOT obv to me, and def not obv to anyone.
From the way his eyes creased like fat worms Jensen looked perturbed disturbed Tilton. Remind me to look up the etymology of disturbing perturb.
A decision, a breaking off.
For this love I bear you John, I’m going to gut your wishes like fishes.
I like Arbuthnot. He did all sorts of stuff, but I just like him. He’s earnest, funny, kind, and strong.
Wild to me that so much has been discovered since then. All of maxwell’s theory of light for one, and quantum electrodynamics beyond. What a world.
