Being a power user is almost always synonymous with saying you’re hard
to please. Which isn’t necessarily wrong. I use mutt not because I
like it, but because it sucks less than everything else I’ve used.
On the other hand, popular software will pass you by since the trend is for less customization and letting the computer do the work.
The worst part is that you keep trying to modify everything (except for your mentality), to suit you. This just takes more and more time and leaves you unhappy in the end.
And yet I still dream of software that can satisfy me.
